The power to help demystify underserved conditions like Long Covid, ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia, raise awareness and make a stronger case to health authorities and the government to invest more into clinical services and research.

ELAROS

Together with our advisory board, we ELAROS, a digital healthcare company,  are developing Open-OH to help meet the needs of thousands of people with Long Covid, ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia and other undiagnosed persistent conditions and different stages of their journey who are unable to access routine clinical support in the U.K. and worldwide.

ELAROS has 10+ years experience in digital health and have spent the last 4 years supporting over 60 NHS organisations’ clinical services and in global research studies with an award-winning platform co-developed with University of Leeds for the NHS.

Join us on our mission to bridge the gap, increase equity of access and deliver quality healthcare and wellbeing to people at home.

Co-created by a community of patients, public and clinicians

As part of the early app development process, we are inviting patients with a range of long-term conditions (listed below) and healthcare professionals working in the field to contribute to our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) outreach:

  • Long Covid / Post Covid-19 Syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Myalgic encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)
  • Postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS
  • Post-viral illness

This process helps to keep the functionality, design and features of the app as close to the needs of the users as possible. By participating, anyone can help to make a difference to others who are also living with a long-term condition.

Participation could be anything from giving feedback on app designs and new features, joining group workshops, and testing the early versions of the mobile app.

Open-OH has been supported by a range of organisations

Funded through a range a projects from Small Business Research Initiative Healthcare and Sheffield Hallam Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre with a range of partners including NHS England, University of Exeter, University of Leeds, Cordell Health, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, the Department of Health & Social Care and Department for Work & Pensions.
