Share progress with employers and relatives to facilitate conversation on where you need support
Access free support resources contributed to ELAROS by various trusted sources such as NHS specialist providers and the World Health Organisation to learn management strategies routinely deployed in clinical services and other support available in your region.
Users should take notice that some of the content provided by individual services have been produced for their local clinical cohorts based on how their service operates, which may differ regionally and internationally. Readers should always consult a health professional before making any medical decisions.
ELAROS currently supports many NHS ME/CFS services in the United Kingdom.
Open-OH aims to list available NHS services that still remain and are open to referrals, though this is subject to change as services close and new ones open.
In the absence of publicly funded services, we may list private services including third sector (charitable) organisations and peer support groups, to provide our community with more options in their region.
In the future our international users outside of the UK will be able to find services in their territories, for example in Republic of Ireland where ELAROS is supported more publicly funded services.
ELAROS has supported a third of English NHS services, most of the Scottish services, and some in Wales, many of which we still have direct contact with.

ELAROS has a long-standing history supporting NHS Long Covid services since 2020 with our digital C19-YRS platform that was recommended in NHS England’s national guidance, and commissioned nationally by NHS Scotland for Scottish Health Boards.
We have supported over 30,000 patients referred to clinical services, as well as several key research studies with the NIHR, NHS England, NHS Scotland, and the MRC which have helped to advance the scientific field with our academic partners.
Despite our progress supporting over 60 health organisations and Universities in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and Australia, many services have been forced to close, decommissioned, and patient have either struggled to get a referral to their service or never had a clinic set up in their region at all.
We want to address this through our Open-OH app by providing access to the clinically-validated, NHS-recommended assessments and various support resources that are routinely provided and updated by health services, without having to win the postcode lottery.
Since 2020, ELAROS has worked in collaborative partnership with University of Leeds to develop a range of digital solutions to support people with Long Covid and specialist NHS services through another digital platform, the C19-YRS
We have supported over 60 health organisations globally and became the UK’s leading specialist digital clinical platform provider, supporting a third of England’s clinics and 78% of Scotland’s clinics, all offered on a not-for-profit basis to the NHS.
This provided us with a unique opportunity to deliver a national service evaluation for NHS England and NHS Scotland respectively with University of Leeds, and to deliver the NIHR-funded LOCOMOTION (2021-23) and HERITAGE studies (2025) which have contributed to numerous publications that have advanced the scientific field and supported ongoing commissioning of services.
As Open-OH grows, our app users will be able to keep up to date with news on our research and how to participate in upcoming research studies
Open-OH is still a work in progress and new features are continuously being added to support people with a range of conditions and severities.
At the moment, Open-OH offers guidance for health education, symptom management strategies, employment support and benefits advice, alongside validated clinical measures and daily monitoring tools which people with Long Covid can benefit from.
Our initial public Beta version may not be suitable for those with severe of very severe Long Covid, whose needs often require more intensive, individualised care from a qualified health professional, which Open-OH is not.
We deeply respect the complexity of all experiences with Long Covid and remain committed to finding more appropriate solutions for people and their carers.
Whilst the app may not guarantee a diagnosis or referral to a service, we can guarantee that Open-OH will include NHS England’s recommended ‘C19-YRS’ outcome measure and various support resources that are referenced in their National commissioning guidance for post-COVID services for adults, children and young people.
